For some children and young adults in South East Asia, growing up is that little more difficult.
Many are forced to live in orphanages from as young as 2 years old up to their mid-20s. Their stories and reasons for living in orphanages are as varied as their background and locations they come from.
The majority of children and young adults living in orphanages are as a result of deceased parents or an inability for the parents to provide care and afford to raise them. Many children very seldom or never see their parents.
Orphanages house and care for in some cases 300 children with limited volunteer staff and scarce resources. Often with limited financial support, orphanages are forced to make do with what they have.
Blue Sky Project is assisting orphanages by provided much needed funding and supplies including food, bedding, clothing, toiletries, books, equipment and other vital supplies.
